The Triangle Air Awareness Coalition is a partnership of businesses, organizations, and government agencies who share concerns about the local air quality.
This air quality coalition provides leadership that educates and mobilizes individuals to reduce their contribution to air pollution and to protect their health on days when air quality is not as good as it should be. The work done by our coalition members is an invaluable part of the Air Awareness Program.
Together, we have the power to improve air quality.
What you get…
As a coalition member, you will receive, free of charge:
- Air Quality Forecasts (by email or fax) for your area each day or the day before a predicted “Air Quality Action Day” (high pollution day) occurrence.
- Invitations to events featuring topics and speakers relevant to air awareness issues.
- An Air Care Package. This package contains information to help you inform co-workers and colleagues as to how ground-level ozone affects their health and quality of life, and what they can do to reduce ozone air pollution. We will provide you with easy to use forecast posters, as well as other helpful educational tools.
- Additional updates to information on your request.
What you do…
As a coalition member, you are expected to:
- Inform your colleagues and co-workers when the next day is an “Air Quality Action Day” and tell them what they can do to protect their health and improve the air quality.
- Make the Air Care Information / Posters available to your colleagues and co-workers.
